Great News! Chunli Medical's Surgical Robot Makes Its Debut at the 2025 15th Yulin Traditional Chinese Medicine Expo & the 1st Yulin Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Tourism Festival

The theme of this TCM Expo is "Nurtured by Yu for Millennia · Peace and Wellness on Summer Solstice". Centering on the "Yu" culture, it connects Yulin's profound heritage of traditional Chinese medicine with the Summer Solstice health preservation theme. Through elements such as grass symbols, seasonal medicinal diets, and intangible cultural heritage (ICH) interactive activities, the Expo enhances cultural depth and people-benefiting experiences. With the development of the times and advances in science and technology, to further integrate technology into the medical field in a more practical way and better serve clinical medicine, an AI exhibition area has been added to this year's Expo. As a "new highlight" of the event, the AI area attracted long queues of citizens and tourists eager to experience the technology.

·Personalization: Workspace Analysis and Path Planning System

When doctors perform robotic surgery, the driving speed and movement range of the instruments inside the patient's body need to be calculated with greater precision. Future surgeries will tend to be more personalized: surgical procedures will be tailored based on the anatomical images of individual patients, and after surgical operation instructions are issued in the background, doctors only need to monitor the surgery to complete the procedure.

During the event, a delegation including Wang Chen, Secretary of the Yulin Municipal Party Committee, Liu Zhanglin, Executive Vice President of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yao Chun, President of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine, Lü Jianfeng, Chairman of the Yulin Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and Shen Hongrui, Deputy Director of the Regional Drug Administration, visited the surgical robot jointly developed by Yulin Orthopedic Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and Chunli Medical, and watched a simulated demonstration of its operation. Wang Chen, Secretary of the Yulin Municipal Party Committee, delivered a speech at the AI exhibition area, stating: "AI technology is the future development trend. With the assistance of AI technology, clinical medicine can better provide optimal treatment plans for patients."

Liang Zhou, Chief of the Medical Affairs Department of Yulin Orthopedic Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, stated: "As the first-ever exhibition area launched at the 15th TCM Expo, the AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment zone jointly built by our hospital's National Drug Clinical Trial Institution and Beijing Chunli Medical Co., Ltd. became the focus of attention as soon as it made its debut. As a technological highlight of the exhibition, our hospital showcased the AI surgical robot—hip and knee joint replacement surgical navigation system—for the first time. This is a new-concept joint replacement surgical robot and an intelligent system designed to assist orthopedic surgeons in precise prosthesis implantation. Integrating multiple disciplinary fields such as medicine, biomechanics, mechanical engineering, and computer science, the system combines advanced technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), 3D imaging, and navigation positioning. It can achieve submillimeter-level precise positioning in hip and knee joint replacement surgeries, controlling the angle and mechanical axis errors of hip and knee replacements within 1°, thereby improving surgical accuracy, reducing surgical trauma, and accelerating patients' rehabilitation process. This exhibition allowed citizens to personally experience the charm of the integration of high-end medical equipment and orthopedic surgeries."
