Porous Vertebral Body Prosthesis

This product is manufactured via the electron beam melting (EBM) rapid prototyping process and classified into two models: Type I-A and Type I-B. It is fabricated from titanium alloy TC4ELI powder whose chemical composition conforms to the requirements specified in YY/T 1701. Provided in radiation-sterilized packaging, it has a sterile shelf life of 5 years.

Scope of Application

It is used in combination with spinal internal fixation systems for vertebral body reconstruction and bone graft fusion during vertebrectomy procedures. Model I-A is indicated for the cervical spine, while Model I-B is indicated for the thoracolumbar spine.

★ The anatomically designed superior and inferior endplates, available in multiple angular specifications, enable effective restoration of the physiological curvature of the spine, achieve precise adaptation to the anatomical structure of vertebral endplates, and provide stable support to promote fusion.

★ Fabricated from titanium alloy powder via the electron beam melting (EBM) process, the product exhibits excellent biocompatibility.

Product Advantages

• It exhibits high anatomical form matching degree, appropriate surface roughness, and a high friction coefficient with human bones, which contributes to improving fusion rate and stability, and demonstrates prominent subsidence resistance.

• The biomimetic trabecular bone microporous structure, with a porosity of 80% and a pore size of 600–800 μm, facilitates osteointegration and angiogenesis, thereby enhancing the fusion rate.
